The IEEE MBCET Student Branch is one of the vibrant student bodies on campus, promoting technical learning and professional development. It is part of the IEEE Kerala Section, which is one of the most active IEEE sections globally.

- Ms Sandra S. R., S8, Dept. of EEE, MBCET, was awarded the Best Student Volunteer and Best Chairperson of Student Branch Chapters of IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter, during the AGM held on 29th March 2025.
- A certificate of appreciation was presented to Dr M J Jayashree, Student Activities Chair (2024) in recognition of her outstanding dedication, leadership, and invaluable contributions as the Student Activities Chair of IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter. She is continuing as Treasurer of IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter and Chair of IEEE EMBS Women in Biomedical Engineering (WIBE) for the Year 2025.
- Best Student Branch Chapter Faculty Advisor Award 2024 of IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter was awarded to Dr. Lani Rachel Mathew, Assistant Professor, ECED of MBCET.
IEEE WIE Scholarship 2023-24 Funded by Quest
Ms. Ann Mary Biju, S6 ECE2 and Ms. Aparna G. Raj, S4 CT were awarded the IEEE WIE Scholarship 2023-24, funded by Quest Global.
IEEE Kerala Chapter Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Awards 2023
- MBCET bagged the Best Student Branch Chapter award 2023 during the Annual General Meet held on 27th April 2024 by the IEEE EMBS Kerala Chaper.
- Mr Reuben Roy Vargis, S8 CSE, the chairperson of IEEE SBC MBCET received the best Chairperson of SBCs award.
- Special mention certificate was awarded to the best Design team member, Mr Shawn Siby George, S8 CSE.
- A certificate of appreciation was presented to Dr. M. J. Jayashree, Professor, Dept. of ECE and IQAC Coordinator & Student Activities Chair in recognition of her contributions to the IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter’s Student Activities.
- Dr. Lani Rachel Mathew, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, awarded with Best Student Branch Chapter Faculty Advisor Award 2023.
IEEE Computer Society: Darrel Chong Student Activity Award 2021 (Silver Category)
IEEE SB MBCET was awarded with the Darrel Chong Student Activity Award under the silver category in recognition of the event codeXtreme which was conducted in 2021 by Computer Society in accordance with IEEEXtreme Coding competition. The event was coordinated by Adinath Ajith Naik and Karthika Sankar U.
