The “Vision Beyond the Sight” AI Expo and Interactive Session, organized on 17 December 2025 by the Kerala Federation of the Blind Youth Forum in association with RCG Foundation and Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, was successfully conducted as part of World Disability Day observance. The programme aimed to sensitize engineering students to the technological needs and challenges of persons with visual impairment and to inspire inclusive innovation. The AI Expo and Assistive Technology Exhibition held at the Amenity Centre showcased various assistive devices, applications, and accessibility tools, highlighting their possibilities and limitations. This was followed by an interactive session at Senatus Hall with selected students which encouraged open discussions, idea sharing, and user-centric problem-solving. 51 members attended the interactive session. The event effectively promoted awareness, social inclusion, and the practical development of Assistive Technologies, making it beneficial for both students and the visually challenged community.

Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) was among the technical institutions felicitated by the Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala, for achieving NBA Accreditation for its B.Tech programmes. The felicitation took place during the Kerala Technical Education Enhancement Summit 2025 (KTEES–2025), held on 23rd October 2025 at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram, where the Minister’s Excellence Award was presented by the Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice, Dr. R. Bindu.

This recognition stands as a testament to MBCET’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and its vision of nurturing globally competent engineering professionals.

We are delighted to invite you to a six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI Applications in Modern Research: A Hands-on Approach,” scheduled from 17 – 22 February 2025 in offline mode at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.

This FDP aims to enhance research capabilities by leveraging AI tools for literature surveys, data analysis, thesis writing, ethical research practices, funding opportunities, and effective dissemination through high-quality publications and presentations.
