  • ‘Chess for the Visually Impaired’, AUG 2021 – APRIL 2022, in collaboration with TCS Head Accessibility, Dr. Charudatta Jadhav.
  • Speech enhancement/reconstruction for persons with impaired speech, DEC 2016 – MAR 2022.
  • Voice Analysis: Used throat microphones in conjunction with acoustic microphones, designed a system to measure resonance of the human vocal tract.
  • Speech Enhancement: MATLAB based enhancement of electrolaryngeal speech, involving short-time Fourier transform, discrete wavelet transform and non-negative matrix factorization (NMF).
  • Speech Reconstruction: Automatic speech recognition (ASR) followed by speech synthesis using RNN networks and Long short term memory (LSTM)

  • The Assistive Technology (AT) Group of Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET), in association with IEEE EMBS Kerala Section, has undertaken multiple initiatives, project proposals, and collaborations to enhance technology interventions for differently-abled individuals. Through sensitization programs, internships, and strategic partnerships, MBCET is making a substantial impact in the domain of Assistive Technology and inclusive innovation for differently-abled individuals. The ongoing efforts in awareness building and strategic collaborations will continue to drive forward the mission of accessibility and inclusivity in education and innovation.
