Dr. Abraham T. Mathew

CV Overview:
He joined NIT Calicut (formerly Calicut REC) in July 1985 as Lecturer and was serving as Professor there till September 2020. He joined as Principal at MBCET on 01.10.2020.
During his stay with NIT Calicut Abraham T. Mathew had officiated various administrative positions such as Registrar, Dean (R&C) and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering. He had attended several conferences/training programmes/workshops in India and abroad.
Dr Abraham T Mathew was the Coordinator of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) Phase I (2002-2007), Phase II (2013-2017) and of Phase III (2017-2021) till 14.09.2020.
He is Life time Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE, Senior Member of IEEE, Life Member of ACDOS, Life Member of System Society of India and Life Member of Indian Society of Systems for Science & Engineering and had held key positions in the local Chapters/subsection of these professional bodies. He served as member in the administrative/governance/academic bodies of several institutions and was expert member in various committees. He served as reviewer of several journals and conferences. Dr Abraham has authored/ co-authored more than 90 publications in journals and conferences and also guided/co guided 13 Ph.D Scholars and supervised several Master’s and B.Tech Projects during his stay with NIT Calicut.
