We are proud and honoured to bring to the kind attention of all the esteemed stakeholders, well-wishers and the recruiters, the matter of conferment of Autonomy to the College, by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, Government of India. UGC has conferred the Autonomous status on the College, vide UGC Letter No.F.22-1/2017(AC) dated 15.07.2020, under the University Grants Commission (Conferment of Autonomous Status upon Colleges and Measures for Maintenance of Standards in Autonomous Colleges) Regulations, 2018.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has issued the notification in this regard vide Notification No. KTU/SO(ADMIN)/2904/2019 dated 18.09.2020.

College has started admitting students to the B.Tech and M.Tech programmes under the Autonomy scheme from the academic year 2020-2021 onwards. There are five B.Tech and five M.Tech programmes.

The Curricula for the 2020 Scheme(UG and PG) are broadly following the Outcome Based Education framework. It has been drawn by aligning the framework with that of the affiliating University so as to facilitate a smooth transition to the autonomy regime. The mandatory approvals from the statutory bodies have been obtained for all the programmes. The details of the curricula and syllabi are published for favour of information of all our stakeholders. The syllabi are subjected to continuous modification so as to keep the courses up to date and relevant.

The process of designing a new curriculum for UG and PG programmes, for the 2022 scheme, has been initiated to absorb the current trends in science, technology and engineering. We earnestly look forward to getting the suggestions on the curriculum gaps, errors and omissions from our stakeholders and well-wishers. Our objective is to provide a very vibrant academic ecosystem to make the student globally competent. The policy is to enable excellence while ensuring equity and access. Academic processes are being redefined to ensure the best learning experience to the students.
